For many years in Bermuda the name, Ray Pasnen, and the venue, Swizzle Inn, went hand in hand. You couldn’t mention one without mentioning the other. They were some great years. 16 years in total at Swizzle for Mr. Pasnen who not only worked there but also lived upstairs.
He says, “I could never has asked for a more perfect situation. Lots of great audiences consisting of tourists and locals, great food, great drinks and a short stumble upstairs at the end of the night. I thank the Correias and all the staff at Swizzle for such a great run!”
But. The times they are a… changing and last year (2015) saw Ray move to Bermuda Bistro at The Beach for his first season on Front Street. It must have gone over well because he is coming back.
June and July (2016) will see Ray playing not only at The Beach on Front Street but… the actual beach. (work permit pending) Bermuda Bistro has set up a location at Horseshoe Bay Beach called The Rum Bum Beach Bar and rumour has it that Ray will also be playing there. How nice to hear live music while sipping a cold one at Horseshoe?
Mr. Pasnen was just featured on a prominent European musicians website that promotes great acts to people looking for them. You can find that site here: Musiker Finden.
We look forward to the return of one a Bermuda’s most anticipated entertainers. And, for two, we can’t wait to hear “Rodeo Song” and “Red Solo Cup”!
